About Us

Who we are:

Established on February 11, 2025, CVMA® 14-8 based out of Lafayette, Indiana is a group of combat veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who share a passion for motorcycling. We are more than an association; we're a brotherhood bound by shared experience of service.  Our mission is to support and protect those who have defended our country and freedoms.

What we do:

  • Veteran Advocacy and Support: CVMA 14-8 provides resources and support for veterans helping navigate issues such as healthcare, benefits, and mental health care. They work to ensure that combat veterans receive the respect and care they deserve.

  • Community Outreach: The organization is involved in community service, often organizing events, fundraisers, and charity rides that raise funds for veterans’ causes. They also participate in local events to promote awareness of veterans' issues.

  • Commemorating Service: CVMA members honor fallen soldiers and veterans through memorial rides, ceremonies, and other events designed to recognize and remember the sacrifices made by those who served in combat.

  • Building Brotherhood: The CVMA fosters a supportive brotherhood where combat veterans can connect with others who share similar experiences. This sense of brotherhood helps combat veterans find solidarity and healing, both within the organization and through the larger veteran community.

Auxiliary Members:

The Auxiliary members of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) are individuals who support the mission and activities of the CVMA but are not necessarily combat veterans themselves. Typically, auxiliary members are family members, such as spouses, children, or other close relatives of CVMA members who have served in combat. They play a vital role in supporting the association’s goals by assisting with fundraising, community outreach, event planning, and other activities that benefit veterans and their families.

The Auxiliary works in close collaboration with the CVMA to ensure that the needs of combat veterans are met and that their sacrifices are honored. While they do not ride in the same capacity as the veteran members, they are dedicated to the cause and often participate in the association’s events and charitable endeavors. Their involvement is essential to the strength and success of the CVMA’s mission, as they help foster a supportive community for both veterans and their families.
